Bordo Hunt

2018 Los Angeles
Porco Razo performance

Bordo Hunt honors the Kumeyaay ecology of the land and nomadic cycles of collecting seafood before and after the border wall through transnational childhood memories of glitches. The Kumeyaay Nation includes the Tijuana-San Diego border region as well as Catalina Island. Inspired by the epilepsy attack of a girl on a kayak at a Catalina Island school camp, Bordo hunt uses this moment of a glitch to deep dive into the current meaning of the US-Mex border through the occupation of interstitial spaces and the fractalization of self.
