A public alteration of a Nazi knife, an American victory trophy that my stepfather gave me as a girl. I neutralized its symbolism to begin its transformation into a Tecpatl Sacred Mexica knife. The purpose is to re-appropriate the symbols that have continued to violate our bodies and this continent. The transmutation of the knife will be used as a prayer and medium to unite communities.
